Key Features and Functionality

GangScope™ is an organized crime & gang intelligence database which helps capture, analyze, search and share intelligence on crime groups / families / gangs, members, vehicles, addresses and more. GangScope acts as a first tier, internal database that manages data on known and suspected members. Data is collected per incident and includes qualifiers, associates, acquaintances (points of contact), witnesses, images, and documents. GangScope’s collection of detailed information aids in investigations, analysis and ultimately solving crime.

The overall goal of GangScope™ is to provide law enforcement personnel/ crime analyst/ prosecutors with maximum data through a friendly user interface while remaining cost effective.

Feature List

Permission Levels

Permission levels (grouped roles) each modifiable per department’s unique needs. Defaults include Administrator, Supervisor, Gang Officer, Clerical and Officer levels.

Tracking

Track Suspected and Known gang members - builds “career” of suspected to help alert supervisors when they have met sufficient qualifiers

Quick Search

Enhanced Quick Search on Acquaintances, Characteristics, Gang, Gang Member, Addresses, Cases, Files, GI(incident) and Vehicles. Quick Search can use Partial input and Fuzzy (similarity) logic.

Advanced Search

Sophisticated Advanced Search allowing multiple search criterias to further refine searches
Juveniles are clearly identified

GIS and Heat Maps

Heat maps are another tool to help visualize the areas of crime activity per gang or by member. The heat map shows the intesity of occurrances through color in two dimensions. Plus provides address and incident details.

Interactive Graphs - Link Analysis Diagrams

The link analysis diagrams show the relationships between two or more pieces of data in a visual form. For example, a visual diagram of a person in relations to their crimes / incidents.

Enhanced Social Media Identifiers

Document and store important social media links and urls that can be accessed quickly per gang member.

Gang Overview Dashboard

Gang Overview Page lists all present & past members associated with a specific gang including all GIs(incidents), Vehicles , Images, Characteristics and Files for that gang

Person Overview Page

Person Overview Page lists all AKAs, Vehicles, Address, Associates, Acquaintances, Identification Cards, Social Media, Employment, Education History that has been entered for the gang member. It also includes all GIs(incidents), Characteristics, Images/Documents, Qualifiers, Incarcerations, Maps for that gang member.

Vehicle Overview Page

Vehicle Overview Page lists general information, Associates, Gangs, Images, and GIs(incidents) for that specific vehicle

Integration

GangScope™ is customizable and can integrate with external databases. For example can be integrated with Arrest records, Probation records, Records Management System (RMS) and regional and state databases.
